In-Case, 2023

This was an installation I made in March 2023, feeding off the headspace that had consumed me over the summer of 2022.

Moving to a new home can be exciting but at the same time can stir up a lot of emotions. I spent my summer holidays sorting out my ‘stuff’, trying to decide what to keep and what to throw out. What did I need? What didn’t I need? What did I want? What didn’t I want? What did I cherish? What didn’t I cherish? What was relevant? What was irrelevant? What was dispensable? What was irreplaceable? A lot of tough decisions had to be made. A lot of boxing & UN-boxing, taping and Un-taping, as I kept changing my mind.
